Turkey and Egypt to form New Axis of Power

The ever growing cold line between Israel-Turkey, Israel-Egypt and Israel-Palestine is causing too much unrest in the region, and fuels the idea of the American influence diminishing in the Arab world.

Turkey, whose alliance with Israel collapsed after the latter did not give Turkey its demand for the death of its people during an Israeli attack on a Turkish flotilla in search for Palestinian insurgents, is now looking at Egypt as the likely counterpart if they are to create a new axis of power in the region.

But according to Turkey Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, the new axis power they are envisioning will not be used to terminate its rival nor rally its military forces to foreign soil. It will solely be used to enforce peace and stability in the region.

Also, Turkey and Egypt will likely support Palestine's bid to have a seat in the United Nations, a move that surely put Israel, and specially the United States, in an awkward position.

The US have been a long time ally of Israel, as well as both Turkey and Egypt. But if a new axis of power is to rise, the American influence which have been diminishing over the last few years, may cease to exist completely.
