Gene Block - UCLA chancellor have already condemned the statement from their student and defended that is was not the general view of the university.

In a letter that she sent to their Daily Bruin, the student said that she was trying to produce a humorous video and apologized for her hurtful insensitive words.

Another funny fellow (as he thinks) Gilbert Gottfried lost his job because of a series of jokes he publicly made on Twitter, making fun of the disaster in Japan.

In a statement, Gottfried apologized to anyone that found his attempt at humor with the large-scale tragedy in Japan. He added: "I meant no disrespect, and my thoughts are with the victims and their families.

He was the voice of a quacking duck in Aflac's commercial, the one that shouts "Af-LAC!" The company immediately slacked the comedian with position after the jokes he made on his Twitter account. Most of the jokes are described as 'crude' and has sexual riffs of the Japanese disaster.

One of Gottfried's jokes were: "I just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say, 'They'll be another one floating by any minute now.'", and many more. His action has did some damage with the companies image and it stock also went down. The company getting around 75 percent of its revenue for selling cancer expense policies in Japan since the 70's up to date.

Gottfried shouldn't be fired according to Howard Stern, a radio host who is a long time supporter of the comedian and often guest him on a satellite radio show. Stern described Gottfried whose humor is offensive and Aflac may have known this fact from the start. Stern added that Aflac's actions were unnecessary being a person that normally made fun of every disaster. Nine years ago, did the same with his offensive humor and got away from being fired. It was two week after 9/11 attack saying that it would be hard to get a direct flight from New York to California because that flights would have to stop at the Empire State Building first.
